Title: Stakes Race at Scioto Saturday
Post by: sledge hammer on June 07, 2018, 11:49:59 AM
So they have a $200,000 stakes race for the best trotters in North America on Saturday night....9 separate betting interests, and not only is it not part of any multi-race wager, all they have is Exacta and Trifecta wagering?  No Super, no pentafecta, no double, no pick 3, no guaranteed pools?  What is this, 1981??
Who makes these decisions?

Not saying that particular race shouldn't be more involved in the wagering menu, but overall, they are one of the few tracks( if not the only) one that doesn't saturate the small pools with too many betting choices.    Just Sayin............ ...........

I get that, and one of my pet peeves is a track with no handle that has a wagering menu like they are Belmont.

However, for a special race, which will get more attention and handle, it doesn't occur to anybody to modify from the normal wagering menu to offer more options. Seems more lazy to me than anything else.
