Watched the first two races tonight and the horses on the inside almost went down because they had know where to go. Horrible decision to remove the passing lane.

the passing lane is the worst thing that ever happened to harness racing
-
what if you leave out and get locked in and never have a chance to even pull from the pocket...how is that fair?

Leave and go to the front, don’t tuck. If you do tuck then pull before you get locked in. Simple.

There is always going to be someone on the rail. they aren't going to race 3 and 4 wide the whole mile. You still see numerous slow second quarters. In my opinion it has made the place even less watchable and more dangerous! Like i said just my opinion though.

When they first removed the passing lane there was more impetus on getting or having the lead, or pulling early from the three hole to go first over, or even pulling the pocket to challenge on the outside the last quarter of a mile. It seems to me the drivers have just reverted back to their old style of racing and just sitting in more often. In my opinion if you choose to sit you shouldn't get the advantage of a clear path in the stretch, too bad if you get locked in and blocked.

There was no passing lane for over 100 years and that's when the sport was popular and thriving.

you want to sit pretty, you shouldn't get a free lane for the drive. the passing lane removed all impetus for horses sitting the pocket to make an aggressive middle move, and penalized horses trying to cut the mile.

Those drivers selected those places to be. Getting locked in is a definite possibility. MAYBE IF the drivers had CONTROL of their horses, which by RULE they are SUPPOSED to have, there would not be a problem.

Cammie is the biggest fuckin loser in the biz...

This was all caused by putting in pylons and getting rid of the hubrail

YOU GOT TO BE ONE DUMB MOTHER FUCKER ASSHOLE...DO YOU REALLY THINK PEOPLE WILL PULL THE POCKET COMING TO THE HALF ??? THEY NEVER DID WHEN THE HUBRAIL WAS IN...THE PASSING LANE WAS PUT IN TO GIVE MORE HORSES A CHANCE TO WIN ASSHOLES...NOT ONLY THE HORSE IN THE 2 HOLE BUT THE HORSE SITTING 3RD HAS A BETTER CHANCE...
THERE ARE MORE 58 HALFS NOW THEN THERE EVER WAS !!!!! GREAT IDEA ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3
CAMMIE PUT IT IN CAUSE IN HIS YOUNGER COKE DAYS THATS ALL HE COULD REMEMBER

Amen to that.

To let the back markers at least have some chance-fines should be handed out going 30 second 2nd 1/4's.
Removing passing Lane is a marginal move-but at least it stopped the Indian file racing some.
The added time when horses come onto track has helped handle-but some horses dont like being paraded around for what seems like 10 minutes-and some actually are handicapped by this.
Have 9-10 horse fields-and slant the gate--that would be worth trying--as would the 1 1/4 mile races which allows for a fairer start.

Thats the piece of shit drivers fault for sitting in during the merry go round called Yonkers. Don't want to get locked in then pull on the right line.
Maybe they don't pull on the right line because they have a number going. You can't run over a number not unless you want to walk around with sunglasses to hide your raccoon look.Oh & cash your ticket.

Definitely a hub rail! I said that exact thing in an earlier post. Unreal to take all the strategy out of racing by destroying the outter flow with 2-3 horses waiting for a mile wide passing lane. I don't recall horses pulling at the half to avoid being boxed. Two hole was always the garden trip, however, sometimes you got out, sometimes not, that's racing! Bitching about not getting out is purely gambler talk and sour grapes over getting boxed. Bartlett, Brennan, and Stratton are destroying racing by getting choice of horses and posts and then delivering $2.80. They have become complacent in their method of driving and don't know how to navigate a pocket trip.

I would never thank Cammie for anything. The guy has completely ruined Yonkers for me.
