Title: Multi-Millionaire wants welfare?!?
Post by: silent one on August 05, 2018, 10:33:37 AM
I wanted to a little time before I posted on the Jeff Gural whine session, yesterday at the track formerly known as the Meadowlands. This wealthy, useless, POS, crying about subsidies. I believe he stated that he is losing 3 million a year. He thinks the state of New Jersey should bring back subsidies, so he can stop losing money. Nobody put a gun to this stupid SOB's head to run the track. If memory serves, he strong armed  two unions into major concessions, before taking over. He employs some of the biggest horse dopers on the planet, yet bullshits about integrity. He has single handedly turned the Mecca of harness racing, into the Balmoral East of harness racing. The best thing about the Hambletonian? It means the Meadowlands season is over.

     Sincerely, Silent One

Gural's not stupid.

He's greedy.

And he's smart.

He's been paying $3 Mil a year as the cost of an option to own a casino in the next several years.

And he'll get it.

The sports gambling money is an unexpected surprise bonus straight to his pocket.

He's smart.

To Jeff, he is the center of the harness racing universe. Everything harness revolves around him. And what he says is supposed to be done without question. He is smarter than everyone else in the history of the sport. There can be no question about that

It is more how small harness racing has become and, less about how big Jeffery is. 20 years ago, Jeffery could not move the racing officials an inch. Now he is looking to dictate government policy. When he jumps up to that arena he finds out just how common his will and money is.

New Jersey should just raise taxes on the bottom 50% of the population and give it to Jrff to raise purses.  New Jersey residents should be happy to pay more. They should pass some laws, that if you race harness horses and you are a New Jersey resident, you must race your horses in New Jersey to relieve the horse shortage problem

The poor should pay more in taxes, the lower 50% pay virtually nothing

We need a flat tax where everybody pays the same % if people want equality this should be first on the agenda

IF he was that smart he would STOP WHINING about how much it costs him for his fantasy of owning a casino at the meadowlands. As to whether he succeeds at getting his casino-only time will tell. OBVIOUSLY, gural is extremely two faced. Rules are for OTHER people. NOT him. He TALKS a good game at integrity. But that's it. TALK.

You can't like a guy who uses Hambo Day to whine about his losses. If he really was so smart he would find someone to carry his message to the public without looking like a complete crybaby

As an aside the entire broadcast I watched on my computer was utter bush league.  Saw the Gural whine, that was brutal enough.  Then Little's interviews regarding NJ sports betting and how it will help (or not help) the racing industry left me shaking my head.  WTF? Goes to show how far this industry has fallen; top to bottom. Love the game, hate what's happened to it.  Nothing more then a spec of interest to anyone other than the hardcores (like myself). Freakin sad.
