Harrahs philly race 5 this aft...take a look at that stretch drive
SERGIO CORONA beats on his trotter w/ a dozen over the top right hand strikes to get up and win at 13-1..
Not so fast butcher boy.
Once track maintenance cleaned up the blood and hair out of the lane, the perp was
Inquired and placed ninth

But when I do , I don't expect the horse to be thrown out for the driver whipping 1 handed. Harrahs 5th race today. Ive never heard of this. 1 more reason to quit harness and switch to thoroughbreds
-
man, thats a tough beat
i mean the bet not the horse
-
awful
-
He did NOTHING WRONG
FUCKING BULLSHIT
CAUSE HES A SMALL GUY
The corruption continues at the casino tracks
Eventually there will be no one ledt
Should he have hit the horse that many times?
No
But I’ve seen much worse and no inquiry sign even put up

Happen to ron pierce b4

What’s the rule? Announcer said “in a one handed fashion”
I’m guessing cause he took his handbehind his shoulder

Brett Miller got dq'd at Woodbine for whipping one handed a few years back...never knew PA had the one handed rule...Jersey doesn't.
-
I think Trevor Ritchie was the first driver to be DQ'd for whipping while having both lines in one hand. The rule had just come into play days earlier in Ontario. That was many years ago but the rule is still in force today. I did not know PA had this rule though?

You are correct.....I will never forget that night

I don't seem to remember him "hitting" the horse....just a couple of taps coming to the wire, BUT with both lines in one hand.
That was the new rule....."must keep a line in each hand for the entire race"....and I believe..that was the infraction. Wasn't it a major race ?

If you are going to penalize the driver for these whipping violations well so be it! But don't ask the bettors to have to understand how a whipping technicality can reverse what happens on the track!

Yup, he never did hit the horse but the whip did touch the horses ass & he had both lines in one hand at that moment. He said he had put both lines in one hand to pull the ear plug cord (allowed) because the plugs had not come out when he tried with his foot & just forgot to put one line back after removing the ear plugs. I think the race was an elim for a big race.
PS: I can remember watching the replay & Ron Pierce (he was placed first) was getting after his horse with the whip bigtime while Ritchie was sitting still in the bike.
