They never run out of fluid at pocono.

no excuses accepted to cancel,NONE!!

I've noticed Racino tracks cancel more these days than in yrs past. Yonkers used to run in a foot of snow. Now a flake falls and they cancel. How does that work? Is there a financial reason the casinos do this? Or do they just not give a rats ass about the horsemen?

I can certainly appreciate driver's not wanting to race if safety is at risk.
-
No reason to cancel unless the place flooded
-
If my house floods the state is under water,,,,,and we all will need Noah and his arc
-
Tornadoes were in the area , the entire area was under a tornado watch and the lighting and rain were intense.

Go rake the living room

Not only was there extremely heavy rain and winds, keep in mind that thunder and lightning scares the horses and creates dangerous situations.
And don't forget the tornado watch we had that actually touched down in two local areas last night.
Kudos to the Pocono team who made a very wise decision.

ive heard many stories form older folk of horses that have been hit by lightening while on the racetrack at Roosevelt and some other spots
-
Back in the day horses wore metal head numbers
Lightning would hit the number and electrocute them
I got caught on the track warming up on night at Brandywine when a storm hit and got reamed by everyone
Never happened again
Had one in the 5th at Pocono after the cancelation and have no problem with the judges decision

Thank you!
