This is great. I will hold all my losing tickets and watch carefully the USTA Rulings that come out months later on suspensions and horse take downs due to doping. At least I will be able to get my money back and pay for a lawyer if the races are rigged and my horse gets nosed out by one that is juiced.

can i sue that canadien stiffer sylian filion over 5ace 5 yesterday
Yes. Your damages are exactly $2.00. Minus the contingency fee of course. Until next time, ambulance chasers.......... ..HEIL HITLER!!
-
Save all your tickets and send copies to PETA. They paid for the lawyers for this
-
Truth is this has class action written all over it.....

-
The owner of Meadowlands, Jeff Gural, has been among the leaders in harness racing trying to curb doping.

Yes he has, by employing trainers like Juicin' Julie Miller, and Teflon Ron Burke, he has curbed doping..... in other owners horses.
Sincerely, Silent One

Illinois Gambler Tretter Settles Lawsuit Over Race Fixing

Case against trainer, owner settled, with donation to SRF
On Friday afternoon (June 26), a long and unsuccessful witch hunt against our clients, Bob Bresnahan
and Len Sodowsky, came to an end. After spending over a million dollars in legal fees and sending out
dozens of subpoenas, PETA, by settling, finally acknowledged that it never really had a case against Mr.
Bresnahan and Mr. Sodowsky and settled on behalf of gambler Jeffrey Tretter for the paltry sum of
$12,500.
Additionally, as part of the settlement and mandated by Mr. Sodowsky, a donation of $7,500 will be made
to the Standardbred Retirement Foundation.
Paying the legal fees out of their own pockets these last three years, Bob and Len stood up for horsemen
and horsewomen everywhere against the limitless funds of PETA in its unique attempt to find another way
to put an end to horse racing. Bob’s contention that he never raced Tag Up And Go in January of 2016 on
any performance-enhancing drugs would have proven successful, and the flimsy RICO claims made
against Mr. Bresnahan and Mr. Sadowsky fell apart. This is an enormous victory for the horse racing
community.
The case by Tretter was based on the gambler's assertion that if the Bresnahan-trained, Sadowsky horse
was not in the race, the payoffs would have been different and thus he was deprived of a big payoff for his
wagers. (with files from the law firm of BARDSLEY, BENEDICT + CHOLDEN LLP)

It WAS a witch hunt.

How else would you describe it ?

Fake.
Spent "Millions of their own dollars" to defend a $31,000 suit they settle for $20k.
You believe THAT?

You got that backwards. Allegedly PETA spent the millions. No mention of how much the defendants paid their lawyers.

Andrew Benedict, one of Bresnahan’s lawyers, described the case as “a David vs. Goliath type thing,” with PETA able to finance extensive litigation against two defendants who were not major figures in harness racing and had far fewer resources.
“It was rough for us to defend this case on all fronts, because of the amount of money that PETA was pouring into it,” he said. “It shows they had no evidence of criminal wrongdoing or they wouldn’t have settled so cheaply.”

Oh, my bad.
That changes everything.

Yeah this is a weird one. Who's more wrong? The alleged cheaters or the overzealous mega rich persecutor?
