Chris Page is a very good driver and a nice guy who doesn't gut a horse like some drivers.

He is an average driver at best. He’s a non factor in any race that he’s not driving for Burke.

And of the Burke regulars; Yannick, Palone, Brennan and Wrenn…. He is by far the last choice of those.

Do you watch him drive on a regular basis? The guy is a great driver, especially with educating a young horse. He doesn't gut them like most of these guys do.

He's light years better with a young horse than Palone or Wrenn.

I always thought Kakaley was an average driver. He looks lost on the big tracks too.
I don't watch Ohio much. What i've seen of Page has not stood out.

Correct. Chris has great instincts as a driver.  He puts the horse in the best position to win most the time. Brett Miller might be the other in Ohio the stands out. Merriman on a half is right there. It helps that he knows Burkes horses always come to the track ready to win. He's an alright guy to talk to also. Bottom line though I will take a good horse over a good driver every time.  Good horses can make even average drivers look good.

How can a guy - who gets to drive for guys Like Burke and Brian Brown, be sooooo bad ?

Are you just that much smarter than a couple of pretty good trainers ?

Just simply saying of the regular drivers that Ronnie uses … he’s the least talented.

Watch the horses he drives that aren’t Burke horses. You could drive Burke horses and bat .300.

He’s average at best

When you say hes light years better that a guy with 20k career wins well the you officially sound like a guy with ZERO knowledge I don't care how old the fucking horse is....and to say Palone isn't good with a young horse is even more idiotic.

Love Dave, but I saw him triple move a two year old first time starter less than month ago.

Why do you think Burke no longer uses Palone on 2 year olds? Palone used to be his go to driver of 2 year olds, but hasn't been for a number of years. I wonder why...

Most of the reason Ronnie doesn’t use David on 2yo’s is because Dave isn’t traveling to drive. He has Yannick n Kakely n Brennan  out East and Wrenn and sadly, Page in Ohio. Tony Hall is a much better driver than Page, hope Ronnie makes the change!

By the way, Palone has forgotten more about winning races than Page ever will. One might say Palone is light years ahead of him in that area tmbz1
