Very nice racing card. Unfortunately 7/13 winning favorites and 9/13 winning horses from outside wny stables. They had a nice 40,000 pentafecta pool, but only guaranteed the pool at 17,500. Too bad the got scared shouldve guaranteed at 50, wouldve got there easliy. Announcer still is very bad, talk about tongue tied and calling wrong horses. While i was very happy to be at the track in January, I sure wish it was in the 70's and 80's with local winners and a packed house. I guess we cant have everything.

I looked at the results. They had 13 races & the purses were decent. A surprise to see Morrill Jr. driving in the winter. Hunter Oakes had a bunch in, SMH. There was no handle & that sums up harness racing.

What makes you think if they guaranteed a $50,000 pool that they would reach that number. They got $40,000. That's it. They wouldn't get anymore no matter what the guarantee is.
Why is it unfortunate that 9/13 winning horses were from outside WNY ? You want bigger purses than expect others to travel and compete.

Stalbaum already taking his large chunk of their purse money. I think he will have a run for his money this meet with some other "high percentage" guys making an appearance this year.

The truth is management and Don Hoover should be embarrassed yeah Larry win 5 look at the program how many Hoover let triple class drop doing favors for him like he owns a percentage?? Writing open races look where the two local horses finished they are still out there ngc3 Outside horses are definitely needed but letting people ship in with absolute standouts that run off the screen has to be bad for betting just look at the handle pathetic you can’t bother betting no value in 1/9 shots

Miss the old days of WNY, Spring in Batavia, summer Hamburg then back to Batavia for the fall. Then DONE for the winter. Good purses, tracks well maintained, decent trainers, drivers and horses. Sure there were crooks, but they didn't let people starve. Good value gambling there, you could bet a C note no problem, now no money in pools. Sad

I will say it again, Hoover is no Todd haight. Not even close! And Wayne Tevin ? is the worst announcer I think Ive ever heard.

Today we had 8/13 outsiders winning and 9/13 favorites with back to back outsiders at 1:9 winning. Remind me who’s this good for?
