This mouthy little troll has fucked the meadowlands along with his overlord boss Gural. These garbage rules telling HOF drivers how to drive , idiots closing holes on 2/5 shots to have them parked out for no fucking reason other than to please those two fucking idiots that cant spell horse. This little cunt Dunn hauling 1/5 shots back to last because he's terrified he wont get a hole if he leaves out. Pure trash product. Not to mention these idiot amateur races taking up half the card. That little cunt Settlemoir telling bragging how much they bet on those races.. When you let a track executive tell a man in the field how to do his job. Its surmountable to a bus boy telling the head chef how to cook. The meadowlands puts out a product not for the betting PUBLIC, its made for two or three track Whales. thats it!

ummmmmm.....the handle for the amateurs is one of the reasons they have continued to card these races. As for going elsewhere for the big guns...... please let me know where they are going, Ocean Downs, Woodstock, etc.
Gural may run his mouth and cry/whine but he also puts up big cash year over year and this past Saturday lined the big guns pockets as usual. Jason just a Gural pawn cashing a decent paycheck, getting Gural perks with his own horses. Business as usual with sports betting being the cash cow and racing a diversion at best.

Agreed, but without Gural the whole deal was dead in the water. He still spends millions of his own cash year over year on the racing side but it is a drop of what he is making on FanDuel and even more so in real estate.

More importantly while every other track was doing next to nothing about the cheating trainers with their drugs, Gural made it clear he would not stand for it. I guess the naysayers would rather get screwed week after week by the cheats and only have Yonkers and Monticello to bet on in the NYC area. If you really like harness racing you should thank Gural not speak poorly of him.

The guy is a hypocrite and it's sad that you are too ignorant to see it. He has plenty of cheats that race at his track. He just picks and chooses which ones. Some of them are even employed by him and his horse partners.

I agree with the frustration about the no hole rule. Im on a 3/5 out of the 7 or 8 hole. Not enough gate spreed to get to the front. Normally i would leave a little and get a hole from someone who wants a helmet. With these rules i can't and have to either double tbe horse up and drop back to last or race on the outside and look like a dipshit the whole mile.
I don't have any problem with the amateur races. They're entertaining to watch...as long as I'm not in the mix

Mr Superfecta why do you think the Pocono Downs handles are so ridiculously low since they have a strong group of horses and drivers? Could it be that we intelligent people know you cannot trust their management to control their cheating? How long did Allard and Surick get away with their cheating while PD officials did nothing, Mr Superfecta? You call others ignorant, Mr Superfecta, yet you cannot find in your little world to recognize when someone like Gural is trying to give you an honest chance, Mr Superfecta. Gural has spent a fortune on testing and has done a good job cleaning out the cheaters. He continues to lose millions on his investment but still loves harness racing. He is your friend, Mr Superfecta, but I guess your eyes are somewhat foggy.

He bought the Meadowlands with the sole purpose to get sports betting and a casino. He essentially bought a billion dollar casino for a few million. He didn't even put up the majority of the money. He has many many investors and what people don't know is that his money is protected by the state! He can't lose money on this deal. His investors can lose 100% of there money and his is backed 110%. Now that he has sports betting he's golden. All you hear about is him putting HIS money up but he doesn't tell you is HIS revenue and all the write offs and tax breaks he's using against his other properties. His asset value is more than 10x what he paid for the Meadowlands.

Sure gural bought the big m to make $. What businessman would do otherwise. Racing needs big m though. Things i dont like about track but wtf. I complain about my day every day. Imho most other tracks have problems that run deeper.
Imho, doing the best they can given that a track couldnt operate in todays game without some quasi-questionable characters at best. Thats on the people in the game and isnt likely to change unless theres actually real government intervention - and imho thats highly unlikely. Sport will probably collapse, or if us fans our lucky consolidate with somewhat better oversight. Id be sad to see it go - i dont expect to see any of this change im my life though. But things take funny twists. When putin invaded ukaraine who expected what would be going on today in kiev and moscow.
