Forget about Fulton the rest of the year. He's done. Too many starts without a rest.

Bullshit trainer - Linda sucks and does not belong in the HOF

They give a pass for having BC. Still a meritless reason, not built on skill or talent.
-
Linda have done great over the years her record speaks loud but what have you jerks done ever.
-
If Linda was a man her resume at time of induction would not get her into the HOF. There are several trainers (Brett Pelling) not to mention drivers (Tony Morgan) with better resumes who are not in. Remember too, the year before she was inducted she and a NYSS trainer who I will not mention had 1 year suspensions hanging over their heads and they were gonna hang him and let her go until he threatened to sue. Result> They let them both go. I grew up with Linda at RR and YR and remember her all the way back to Buddy Regan days. Btw, it was Lachance who resuscitated her floundering career in more ways than one. Don't call me a jerk. I am not some casual observer at 60 and I know something about the game.
-
Hell, Ray Schnittker has trained 2 Meadowlands Pace winners and an undefeated Hambletonian winner and has trained and developed at least 10 million dollar earning horses and he wont sniff the HOF
-
As far as first woman in HOF thats a joke too. Bea Farber and Jacqui Ingrassia for their driving feats should have been in years ago

Shes not my favorite person to hand a bottle of water to in a desert.

diversity of all kinds always rules nowadays !!!
-
Yeah and because of it "nowadays" suck
-
This is ridiculous. Toscano is a top 10 money-winner trainer of all-time. She won a Hambo and trained numerous champions. Of course she belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Fulton is not Linda's problem - It's the owner. He like some other owners believe horses are machines and you can just go hard every week. A top level 3yo has to be managed and given breaks. This isn't the old days where you could get 20-25 starts out of a 3yo. If you get 12-15 and maybe 18 tops your extremely lucky. Sometimes you have to skip a big one to prep for another big one.
-
That is the current thinking which is dead wrong.
Oh do tell please....
-
I'm guessing that the horse will disappear for a short time and come back at towards the late part of the year and steal a big race. Only time will tell!
-
I keep hearing a good horse and a cheap horse. That is based on speed alone.
Ive had horses that could go in 56 that tried just as hard, or harder than the ones going in 52 And in a big barn the 57 horse got a lot less attention.
-
I get your points and they make sense but I never based a good or cheap horse based on speed. My criteria was their ability to earn.
Earnings was the measuring stick. Ya know, rather win in 57 than lose in 53
-
"Classy" horses earn $$$
-
How much did you earn and who did you beat.

Not to mention one knock out or TKO at the Meadowlands paddock!

And that boils down to classification which is very difficult where the guy that puts races together (not to be confused with a race secretary) uses the track master rating system.
-
Agreed. Speed and track master will destroy what's left of our beloved sport from with in. As if we don't already have enuf external demons. Horses pacing in .50/last quarter 26 and change or better and not getting a check is ridiculous but this is where we have evolved.

I owned a piece of a World Champ and a T-Bred Triple Crown winner.
