If your’e originally from downstate, there aren’t any!  Even the guys who come from downstate and open a shop in the area -  SUCK!  Some people say it’s the water but that is probably just urban legend.

Still trying to find it. I got spoiled by moving downstate. I should have never left Saratoga, then I wouldn't know any better.

The water would be better in Saratoga Springs...

Mama Mia’s. 185 Ballston Ave. Not on or near the main street. Get in your car. Plenty of free parking in a large strip mall. This is a really good casual Italian restaurant. Anything off their vast menu is very good including their pizza. During the big track season it gets very busy so call for a rez. Or just order for pickup. You won’t be disappointed.
They also have a lively bar full of horseplayers. They show all the races on the tv using Saratoga Bets

Best pizza year end yr out in capital district (ny) is kays pizza on burden lake in rensselaer county. Im 63; cant recall a yr local papers readers didnt vote that place the best. I dont go often but very good. Quaint restaraunt on lake would be about 35 miles from saratoga.

Pizza pretty hard to mess up though; outside of using cheap fake mozz, really difficult to fuck up. And those people that use pineapple, broccolli etc arent making pizza - thats heretic!
