$64,000 . YIKES
He does fit the phony young claimers going for good money> This guy didn't get where he is today by not being sharp. He must have a plan and the money to put his plan in place.

the guy definitely has money but not from the horses. he uses the horses to lose money like dana odds on racing so they can get a tax write off. you should see him at the yearling sales. hes a big goof and just keeps buying whatever sale topper and spending like its paper. never made any money in the business because of the over head and prices he pays for the ones that dont make it. Decent horses cost real money and this guy might be better than decent.
-
what is Overhiser's business or is he a trust fund baby?
-
Better have a good chemistry set to keep up with the previous trainer.
-
I'd like to know what his training bills come to each month!

I'm sure it's high because he seems comparable to a deep pocket owner in Ohio whose monthly bills his partner told me are over 45K / mo.

June 23 story on USTA Newsroom says he ownes all or part of 100 horses.
Good luck on paying the bills on a hundred head.
And still buying more!

Your a fckin idiot
Don’t worry about others
Worry about your self

Thank you and what's your excuse? Tiny man syndrome?

A bunch of haters on here. It seems like the trainer scared off others cause it seems like a reasonable price. Doug is good for the game. Guys like him restock the buying power of the little guy. He also helps the average yearling sale for the breeders.

You have to look up just to tie your shoes!

At least I got Karens attention!

I agree it was a reasonable question. I've often wondered that too. Like Weaver/Bruscemi? I think they make a nice profit most years, but what does their monthly bill have to be? 100K? I think this is an interesting conversation. People commenting on how he spends on horses are Monday morning quarterbacks. This is a legit conversation about the industry. And of course Luc gets pissy and also finds a way to work in him talking about himself...big shocker! tmbz1

I was told by atlee that lucPark only owns a very small percentage on those horses like 5-10%. It really doesn’t matter because it looks like the guys are enjoying there life and that’s all that matters. I too would love to know how much overhiser spends each month. Unlike weaver/bruscemi/Burke that barn really takes down serious cash every year. But Erv/overhiser doesn’t seem to be in that league yet. Maybe soon tho if they keep plugging at it. Anyone know what type of work overhiser does or was it trust fund money?
-
I would think Luc owns a much larger percentage of the ones he's listed first on. Not sure about the others. I thought I saw Luc or someone post a while ago that his partner owned some shipping/transportation/trucking company or companies.
