For those who are a bit younger, "The Great Green Wave" was the Billy Haughton Stable's "nickname"... At Hoosier, for the Peter Haughton Memorial, Friday evening, Ernie Gaskin set up a small "reunion" (I believe he reserved a room in the Clubhouse)..and in the winners' circle, Holley Haughton (now Tufano), Billy's only daughter, made the presentation to the winning connections. There was a group of "green shirts" also in the winners' circle and it was a rare show of the "thread" that runs from "yesterday" to "today."

Nicde. Anywhere I can see that online? Regret missing it. Btw, Cami "Robert" Haughton one of the nicest men I have ever met and an excellent judge in NY back in the day. Whole family are/were wonderful people. Billy made everyone he talked to feel like they mattered at that moment.

Cammie was an asshole, I still like him, Saratoga in the day. Little Apples. The Green Wave, was when the Circuit was still fun.

They made a documentary about "The Green Wave" So sad that just a few years later they both were gone.

Thanks for this -- forgot all about it. Peter was privileged, but he definitely proved to be a major driving talent. Very smart, he always seemed to work out a trip when needed. Truly believe he would have gone on to be one of the greatest drivers ever.

Explain to me how Cammie was an asshole?

Did you ever race where he was the presiding judge? If not, ask someone who has. Believe me he was an asshole.

Earnie never done nothing for free

Well in my time, at 2 tracks he was an associate judge, not PJ and I had no issues with him. Maybe those that did were assholes too. I dunno.

He was the PJ at the Meadowlands, he got booted. Next is Yonkers, (friends with the Rooney family) got booted. I liked him in his younger years, still like him. Couldn't make it training, became judge.
