Well the rankings are IN:
1.- Ponda Jet, The remaining in first place as the # 1 4th place finisher in the country. And taking the top place as a new potentially cooked favorite.
2.- Ponda Warrior also remains in the # 1 position for the Top 3 year old Pace in North America. ngc3 ngc3 ngc3
3.- Ponda Title fended off rivals to secure the #1, second place finish of the night. (Although it was a good go).
And there you have it Folks, saving you Frank Deglomine's take on last evenings races. Who only knows whats next...Gural sending a truck and trailer and moving vans for Jay Hockey to come east???

Why when Yannick is driving a horse that doesn’t fit does he drive just to screw up the race. With Cheval Rapide he was forced into turning the Ponda horse loose which would have been the best strategy move to try and finish on the board or in the money instead of 6th. Let’s face facts , when you’re driving a horse that lays over it’s not that complicated. But the truly great drivers , Campbell, Pierce , Miller , get the best finish and money when they end up on horses in situations like the above.

"get the best finish and money' Yannick on a career trajectory to retire as the highest average earnings per start and in the top five money earned all time. I think he is getting $$$$ somehow.

Has nothing to do with when he’s driving the 5 best horse and drivers it like that. No money. Even someone like you can see that

A reason i always applauded sylvan fillion up in canada. He knows how to position a horse thats not the best to ensure horse has best chance and remarkably quick to grasp right opportunity if presented. Drivers you mention superb at doing this. Scotty z has some of this. Sears had it when he was racing fulltime and not as a hobby. Mike lastchance had it but abused the privelege of the gift. Andy miller zero of this innate ability.
Yannick a high quality driver but imho will never reach heights of some of the others mentioned.

I find the stuff Frank says borderline insane but comical, but as far as last night Ponda Title did in fact race huge. I thought she was tailing off her last three starts, holding on by a nose 3 back, getting mowed down two starts back, and not firing out of the pocket in her last Indiana sires. Lasix seemed to make a big difference in her performance last night. We'll likely get to see her again in the Kentuckiana next Saturday going for $200k (as she's eligible). Interestingly Soiree Hanover is also eligible for the race, but the trainer in the post-race interview gave no indication that she'd be running in it.
