Title: NJ Racing Commissioner removed from office
Post by: smokingjoe on September 16, 2023, 06:12:31 PM
I was told John Tomasello of the NJ Racing Commission was removed from his office by the State Police last week.
Stay tuned.

I mentioned this a few days ago, didnt seem to draw any interest.
Seems an owner had some things to say about Mr. Tomasella at the July
Commission meeting which led to an investigation which led to the firing.
Supposedly Nick Surrick had something to do with this, not sure, waiting for
More information.

It's my understanding Surick is some how part of this removal and further action is coming shortly.

We shall see.

I was told John Tomasello of the NJ Racing Commission was removed from his office by the State Police last week.
Stay tuned.

I know that he received a summons from the court with respect to the Don Tiger (Charlie May) case; perhaps someone saw his being served and conflated that with being "removed"??

Sorry but from a very credible source, I was told he was led out by NJSP with his things, phone was turned in, and banned from communicating with any officials.

I doubt this is over the summons you refer to.

The rumor is he is somehow messed up with Surick and others but lets wait and see.

Would be nice to be able to read the minutes of the July Racing Commission meeting but they won't be posted for months. The minutes from the May meeting aren't even posted yet.

Nick Sandles is a rat

I have to believe karma (or someone) is coming for him at some point.  Guy was one of the ring leaders and rolled on everyone!  Navarro doesn’t have anyone from his home country lurking about?

Hard to believe there isn't more info on this...seems like a lot of shady stuff..but I guess that's what happens when power, greed and corruption go uncheck.

OF COURSE THERE IS MORE TO THIS. Do you expect that IF there is an ongoing investigation that they will shoot their wad now? Come on what a basic comment. This is going to continue for awhile.

Just talked to a well known trainer friend in New Jersey. He seems to think this is the start/of round two in getting everyone involved with Fishman. Some very well known names from the Midwest. Hold on to your hats everyone. Karma is real and going to nail some of those Chicago guys.

I can confirm he was escorted out by the NJSP. 2nd highest person in the NJRC. All my source said, it was very bad. Wiretaps involved.

He had previously been Director of the New Jersey Sire Stakes and before that Presiding Judge at the Meadowlands and Presiding Judge at Freehold Raceway. He's been around awhile.

One story circulating this involves Nick Surick somehow, and is one of, or the main reason, he supposely has not been sent to jail yet.

Surick has supposely been telling others he won't be going to jail and if true, it would mean somehow there's more charges coming and he somehow is key to the prosecution.

Stay tuned.

Maybe Nick will have to do what Henri told Leo Bauer to do after he rolled. "Grow eyes in the back of your head".

If Surick doesn’t go to jail this can only be topped if Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell don’t  either.

Hearing now that this started from the lack of proper reporting of one of Suricks horses that died.

Surick had a reporting date of 9/6 for prison but as of yesterday, he was still not in the system.

With the force removal of the Assistant Racing Commissioner of NJ last week, some think they're somehow tied together.

I am beginning to think justice will be served only when Karma finally shows up.

Retired?     Don’t know the man.    There has been no press so surly it’s not a scandal
