Title: Twin B Joe Monster
Post by: Fuguzzi on September 17, 2023, 02:59:23 PM
Man she just toys with her rivals. Last half like 52.3. Don't think she will lose another race all year.

It is remarkable that those cheap fractions make no difference. Great filly.

Chris Ryder flies under the radar. Has always been a deadly sharp trainer.

In some ways she has salvaged a rather crappy season for Dex Dunn - she amounts to like 18 percent of his total earnings this year.

Yeah real crappy season, only guy with less then a 1000 starts and 6.2 mill in purses. What’s a good season then, 200 drives 20 mil.

You can spin the numbers anyway you want. If you think this has not been a subpar season for Dunn, you are outside your mind. He has won very few significant races this year, has put in some dreadful drives in major races and has had some terrible Grand Circuit days this year Twin b Fresh has accounted for a 1/6 of his earnings.

And why doesn't he have 1000 drives by now like his colleagues?

Because he doesn’t need or want to drive cheap horses at Chester every day. Not sure of you 1/6 math. Dex has 6.2 million she only had 600k after today
I wouldn’t complain if I was going to make $400k this year working 3/4 of the time

Sorry, i used her lifetime earnings not her season earnings, thus the difference. As for his motivation how do you know what's going through his mind or what he seems yo need or want? No one can do that.

Dex,
Is most likely going to end the year with 8.5 to 9 mill in purses with less than 1400 drivers. In what racing universe is that a  crappie  season.
In his first full 4 yrs, not counting this year he’s made 54 mill, driving for everyone, not pigeon holed into driving for 2 trainers. He wins for everyone.

In this age of bloated purses, the numbers on their own look stellar ( many drivers in that area, actually / udr tells the real story ). Still, he hasn't won many major races and has had some dreadful grand circuit and stakes days. You know that to be true. the results are on paper.

What a ridiculous position. You can say the same thing about every driver in history. Just admit you don't like him and quit harping about your meaningless" formulas".

If you want to compare top drivers having a crappy season I think Andrew McCarthy wins this year

! I have stated clearly that I do not like him. 2 Many of his supporters have questioned his results and tactics through out the year 3. Yannick takes a lot of heat on here and he is more talented than Dunn 4 Purses thru slot revenue are bloated as compared to pre slot. If I claimed a horse for  33k in my day, I raced for around $13,000. In Ny currently, I know of horses who have been purchased or imported for 30 to 40k and they are in Opens racing for as much as there original price. $ to address tghe Andy <McCarthy thing - I believe Todd has a greater upside and future.
