Title: Tuesday Rosecroft
Post by: bello on October 17, 2023, 07:13:15 PM
Maryland tracks are pretty easy.

I will say this one more time, I am posting selections, not betting for awhile until some world events which are too personal to me settle down. Handicapping though keeps me distracted.

Here are selections with comments. I welcome opinions

Race 1
1 Cindy Jo...exploded from post 9 off the positive driver change. Post relief but class rise which should be offset
7 Quick Fire...Mike Hall most dangerous trainer here. Dipsapointed last at 40 cents but still very dangerous

Bello I am curious why you think picking winners in Maryland is pretty easy. I don’t bet Maryland tracks, pools too small for me, but your comment is interesting. Thanks

Race 1 recap...Foster yanked the 1 out of the race off the gate. I thought it was a big time still....Well he won so what do I know.7 was parked the mile. Appears to have stamina but is a plodder. Just missed secong

Race 2

2 Final Game...pounded last is debut. Raced a bit green, seemed confused racing first over and held second. One if two for Michael Hall
5 Catnap... Whi is Hugh, o neill?  Late driver change from Porter. Should be leaving

7 Odds on Selenium....Odds on stable gives her to Michael Hall after an awful try in a minor Freehold Stakes. Stables send it in   watch board

Many of the drivers are virtually auto tosses yet still get bet. Newer and up and coming drivers like Johnathon Ahle and Trae Porter still offer value, but likely not for long.

Drop and Pop is commonplace and often overlooked

Amateur races here are also easier than most tracks as some of the drivers are truly horrid and take money.  Also often value on Win bets as there are often ridiculous overlays when there is a false favorite

Witness the entirely overbet 7 race 2...Coming off a distanced without breaking race   in a weak Stakes Race and goes off at 1-2

3 Speed Ball Swagger.....owner driver Weckstein gets desired class relief

So how did you do Tuesday night?
Title: Re: Tuesday Rosecroft
Post by: Bitter Truth on October 18, 2023, 09:08:43 AM
I can tell you..Started out on fire..DD $8.60 FOR $1...2ND RACE $22.80 FOR $2...From there all you had was a $5.80 winner in 6th...So much for Rosecroft being easy huh? 73cv.2

Predicting future horse racing results can be a humbling experience

And the exacta box in the 6th and the winner of the 7th and my best bet which is the only race I actually would have bet in race 12.

But thanks for spending your valuable time checking

Yup , you got me..was lookin at the 12th as the box but you had a $4.80 winner..As far as the 6th goes, you had the winner $5.80 only horse you mentioned but if you wanna claim the exacta by all means..As for the 7 th..your even $$ horse was third. I won't bother you on your picks anymore. Was hopin to shame you into getting over it but I think the point has been made.Enjoy yourself.

Why is it important to you to shame me? Do you know me personally?  If you did then I would understand.

I love you too!

Not at all. I enjoy the handicapping and look forward to the occasional constructive comments. Surprised I get trolled though by folks like Bitter Truth. I would love to see his opinions but instead he gets his rocks off by "shaming me"  Oh the pain.

We have a great open forum that brings back a lot of good memories. We need the mean spirited jerks like I need a hole in my head. Try to ignore this people. Maybe they will see the light.

Thanks for playing. I think there are some deep fields later in tonight's program. Outside of Island of the Sea, some good opportunities....

Its me...

I caught that "3-wide and 'almost' winging" last night. Pretty funny, you caught yourself mid-call.

You make the races exciting for sure. Do you only call RCR?

I used to go to RCR when it was 1/2 mile track back in the  late 70s. The "Come of Fred" days. Glad it survived some lean years.

So I tuned in last night but t was a good thing I didn't bet or post. I like speed and the track seemed a bit tiring last night. I'll try to post some tomorrow night.

Rosecroft always been one of my favorite's tracks because of the surface. Nice wide and tight.
Reminds me of my old girlfriend!

Rosecroft is it for me. I broadcast all the sports for the Naval Academy teams as well. Certainly available to help elsewhere if needed. Like many here, love the sport, even though it doesn't love all of us sometimes at one point or another.
