Charlie Lockhart gone......
Who runs the place ??????
-
unfortunately--Hensley, who is a pompous ass
Lockhardt milked his huge salary for years and did very little
-
Hensley is now Executive Director of DSOA
-
Hensley is now Executive Director of DSOA
That title doesn't mean shit. What exactly is his duties as "Executive Director"? Other than collecting insurance payments and kissing Bally's management team's ass. And I'm sure it's a FAT salary to go with it!
-
186,000.... not kidding......
-
Just shows you how corrupt the racing program is in Delaware. You have a guy who was Director of racing for Dover Downs Managment and now He gets the boot by Bally's so the DSOA elects him to represent the horseman now! I mean you can't make this shit up! Did the DSOA members have a vote in this? And please justify how this is a $186K salary job? Who's paying his salary?
And this quote of DSOA site: "And look forward to continuing to provide the exceptional level of service the Board, the membership, and the horsemen and women of Delaware are accustomed to under his direction.”
Well yeah if you didn't you were denied entries!
Must have a family member on the board or commission. Was a Charlie brown noser and did his dirty work for years! Who was a Cloverleaf Director and turned Dover Downs racing official!
Unbelievable!
We're doomed and DSOA is fast tracking it!

Who is running the joint???

Who is running the joint???
That seems to be top secret information that is unavailable on the web as to who is in charge of the horse racing aspect.

Yes....... finally an answer or not to the question at hand......hooray or not.............. ... ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

Be nice to know if Dover will step up and follow Gural on his denied entry list. Dover has a few trainers on that list as well as Frank Chick.
But we both know they won't!

No shot! Delaware isn't to the level of PA or Yonkers, but they won't do anything about this!

Horsemen in Delaware have a great program. They have year-round racing between Dover and Harrington and have an amazing bonus program for Delaware residents ( ranges from 20-40% ) and the are very selective about who is even allowed to race there. They protect their own as well as any other state.
So what's the bitching. I see 15 taces a day, 4 days a week with many 9-horse fields. from cheap horses to top-class horses. Even the big-name drivers go down there on Thursdays.

But back to the original question!
Who's in charge?

So, what you're saying its ok to cheat and let know cheaters race because overall Delaware has a good harness program? Oh, excuse me they select what cheaters they want to race there. And if you're a Delaware owner who employees cheating trainers we will give you a extra 20-40% more? GTFOH!

the other half of the year its two days a week racing at Harrington with 8 or 9 races
they do take care of their own--kinda an inside club
they allow Tony Morgan to set up "shop" there
Ceba Horsey allowed to race there
they need horses to fill the box so some positives are overlooked just as any other jurisdiction
Dylan Davis, Josh Green, King, Teague--some of the best gas is in Delaware
-
Couple things wrong Jackie Mo. Green is gone., Has been for a while. Teague is just average now that they're testing for steroids. Always fill at least 12 to 14 a night at Harrington when racing. They race 3 days a week most weeks at Harrington. Dylan Davis is now avg considering the money he has behind him, King is a no longer a factor and hasn't been in a year or so. Ever since Fishman fiasco. The new crew are Stafford, Tyler and dear old dad and company. Glassmeyer and his pal Berry. And how the hell Horsey is allowed to race is beyond me. But you are right about Morgan as well.
I think your post is about 1 to 2 years behind the times.

i am well aware that Green is gone and Teague and King are basically retired due to what you mentioned
my post was more of an historical review of what has happened there in the past
Harrington cannot fill 12-14 races a night--its two or three days a week racing with declining purses
-
I don't know. Seems like I'm there three nights a week. Monday's upper class and claimers mostly, Tuesday Trotters and nw1 and 2 and Wednesday Fillies and lower class. And I'm usually in the 13th or14th race with the 8 hole! The only month they race 2 days a week is August.

It sure looks like Kirbe's Ace is racing at Dover and Harrington and not doing so well

I am currently fighting SCM for rights to his music videos!
SCM has lots of power behind him and it's going to cost a lot to get The Manager signed!
-
Your last post has nothing to do with this topic.....did you have a senior moment????
-
I thought you were referring to this when you mentioned the manager!

It has been dismal for the bettors since Brandywine went belly up.
-
It has been dismal for the bettors since u went belly up.
Actually back in the late 90s-when Ouellette was dominating--the racing was excellent
Delaware was one of the first outside Atlantic City to have casinos and for a few years the purses and horses were tops
I miss those Sunday nights at Brandywine
-
in 1987 everyone got at least 30 bucks for entering and that help some with gas or food.
-
Still no answer to original question......... .who is the management at Bally's Dover ..... current......
-
maybe it is Patti Brittingham
she ran the racebook and was Hensley's "yes" person
-
Horsemen's bookkeeper....... ..... now Race Track Management.....so me driver's girlfriend?????
-

She has been with Victor Kirby for a long time
not sure if they are still a couple
-
What about "conflict of interest".........
-
What about "conflict of interest".........
Dover could care less, they are just happy to have horses fill the races
-
Is there a conflict of interest with Gural owning horses that race at the tracks he owns or runs? C'Mon. How about the big stables that are friendly with the race secetary's for they help them to fill races? You could say there is a conflict of interest everywhere.

1/2 the horsemen in Delaware are related in some form to one another.
-
you may be low. Closer to 70 %.
