Title: Italian Delight
Post by: Slobbert23 on August 18, 2024, 11:29:31 AM
How does this horse jog every week and not get claimed? The public obviously knows something is wrong. These owners get to steal $6,500 every week.

One of my coworkers owned a horse named Perrigrin in the late 1980s raced it at Sportsmans Park I asked him why doesn't the horse get claimed he said cause the horse warms up looking lame but would still win on occasion.

Frank T Ace had to be walked back to the winners circle every time and was a monster just about every start. I'm sure others here remember that.

Recent article about JC:

“The horses, there were so many good ones, most of them who might have had physical issues which they overcame when they raced.”

Mr Budlong: “As good and as solid a free for all pacer as there was at the time.”

Earl Laird: “He was my all-time favorite. I was his caretaker. My greatest thrill with him was in winning the United Nations Trot. There were times with him when he would get so lame in his stifles, that he could barely walk. But, show him the starting gate and he would throw it all away and become the great racehorse that he was. As a yearling, dad was ready to give him away. ‘You can have him,’ he said. ‘Just give me the first $500 he wins, if he wins it.’  He found no takers.”

Frank T. Ace: “Dad bought him at the Old Glory Sale for $15,000. Within a little more than a year he was racing and winning the free-for-alls.”

Bud T Ace: “This horse was involved in a terrible barn fire. He lost two ears and an eye. They were going to put him down. Dad thought he could save him and he did, using lime therapeutically. He made a still useful racehorse out of him.”

Kash Minbar: “Yearlings never excited dad too much. He had this horse as a yearling. He made a deal with John Schroeder. Schroeder was to race him in the New York Sires Stakes at 2 and 3. Dad would get him afterwards. He did and became a great free for all trotter.”

Magician: “He was by far the greatest horse that I ever trained. He was selling close to the end of the sale. His dam was zero for five at getting them to the races. I had seen his video and man was I ever impressed. I figured that if he sold cheap enough, I would buy him for myself. I bought him for $10,000.

Scratched tonight! Will probably be on ongait for $5,000 tomorrow and that piece of shit Eric Prevost will be come up with some stupid reason why they are selling him.

What a cast of trainers this guy employs.  He is a cancer.

Horse was scratched injured. Imagine someone had a claim and would be out $15,000. Guy should be hung by the small set of balls he has.

Eric Prevost. He’s with every gas trainer. Juices up horses to make them beat then 15 claimers each week. He had a horse Titanium N with Gareth Dowse. Beat the 15’s every week and never moved up. Finally gets beat and the horse goes on ongait the next day for $5,000. Same story with Italian Delight. It’s so obvious the horse is hurt. What horse doesn’t move up in class or get claimed after jogging week after week? He’s robs the public week after week and hurts animals.

It’s the owners that employ these guys. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy nobody claimed the horse and gave Eric $15,000. Now the horse is worth zero. Might be good for everyone on here to know who devita is bearding for.

If everyone would stop claiming off these guys for a year, they would run out of money. When they get money, they claim fresh stock to gas for 6 weeks. It’s only sustainable for so long. Just let all their current horses fade out one by day from damaged insides. Anyone that wants a horse to claim, choose a clean trainer.

Prevost is with Eckley also? How pathetic! Pocono race 5, #6. Couldn’t get the lead and EMPTY! Try harder next week boys!

Prevost got a taste of his own medicine from an Ongait purchase.  Remember a few months ago when he paid 130,000 for that POS Americagreatagain?  He gave the horse to Ruth Calsagni barely got any checks then gave him to DeVita who managed to get one win in NW1. I don't think he even got his training bills paid so far.

On another Ongait purchase I saw that Ivy Park was sold for 91,000 a week or two ago. Unless he has some problem that is absurdly low. Horse is only 3 KY eligible and has raced against the best his entire career.  I would have gone in on him for that price and I haven't owned for a long time.

He was 100% crippled. Doesn’t take much to beat the 15’s at Yonkers. Horse’s days are numbered.

Digs in, holds on by a nose to win in 54 flat.  No claim.  Two in a row for blumenfeld, $12,000.  Needs one more to cover claim.
