WTF was he doing around 3/4 pole grabbing up so hard? Damn near caused a wreck!

His horse almost ran. Had to grab up.
-
I thought he did a good job keeping the horse flat.

I re watched and it looked way worse live. The horse was very bad and almost run. On a side note I did hear he torched Gem Quality and he is now toast for the yr. Maybe he comes back as 4yo?

Agreed. Fast hands, fast reaction. The optics always look bad if you miss the grab up.

He put Gem Quality (who was the 2nd favorite) in position to sit the pocket to Captain Albano who was the heavy favorite in a $252,000 sire stakes final. If I am the owner I am happy with that trip. You can't blame Yannick if the horse got hurt, etc.

You absolutely can blame him for it. He 1000% knew the horse was lame. Dexter picked off him because he was lame. He wears every piece of equipment known to man and has a foot head nod in the post parade. He wouldn't have even raced had it not been for his greedy owner. If Yannick had any compassion or sense he would have given him the baby trip and tried for a check on the end and brought the horse back in one piece. Instead he sends him for his life and blows him up. Great move from a HOF'r

Why did the vets allow the horse to race if he was lame?
