To me they are a joke,,,,,,,,,,,Working with the USTA people and track management is like the FBI WORKING WITH capone as many of these people use the BURKE type trainers to train their horses,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,The super villians in this game are track management and standerbred.ca and the USTA........ I HAVE CALLED HISA and they believe they are really going places and i see their formula as one that can not work,,,,,,,

if you are buyiong a horse you would be dumb not to give it to one of the top trainers. not that its right by the horse but if you want to have any shot at making money you have to.
there was a trainer at northfield way back in the day. who did pretty well in the claiming game. he said if i ever get out ill buy a horse and give it to loney. some of you can probably figure out who he is. why would he do that? he had by far the best pre race mixture getting those post race pictures.
if you are in it for the money which im sure most are. you have to use the fuel.
-
USTA sure spends a lot of time digging up anything negative on HISA.
How enforcing some of the rules that the organization list.

100 percent correct as you might as well burn it if you go with a legit guy but HISA has no clue that is the case,,,,,,,, I remember the first time i went to Vegas and could not believe the way the gambler was treated with great food and great shows and always treated like royalty and asking myself why are all racetracks treating us this way as they take so much more vig and let the trainers and drivers run the show,,,,,,,,,,,, i do not see very many breeding farms continue when they die off the kids will not take over as it is out dated with nobody willing to change and zero horsemen saying huston we have a problem,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,The old timers will always go with the keep it hush and do not talk about it,
-
it maybe too far gone to fix now. everyone in may as well just ride it out til it dies. but unless you use the top guys or you may get extremely lucky and find a diamond in the rough.
very unlikely.
if things are to change it better happen quick and needs to be drastic.

I am pro-HISA and a supporter. I've met Lisa, heard her speak several times, and I like how HISA has adapted, reacted, and handled working collaboratively. Like with any massive change, transition, whatever, there are parts that will get worse before they get better. With drastic change and new governance, and all that goes along with it, there are always elements that have to be addressed, because of drastic change itself. There's going to be change pains, progress pains, and yes, cases that are going to hurt---and she's addressed many of them.
That said, IMO, by the time the USTA gets to the point of true acceptance, and where they are truly willing to collaborate---it will be too late for them. They will have already lost their chance to be a partner and co-author. HISA is moving ahead. The USTA is not. So be it. The USTA will suffer the consequences of their own actions.

Grand i have to disagree with you as drugs are such a small problem today compaired to the yesterdays and i am not impressed by the way she operates as by a mile the biggest problem are the people running this game and she deals with them,,,,,,,,,,,,i called her many times and always got her assistant and i found her knowledge poor but thats the way i see it,,,,,,,,,
-
Take drugs out of the game and you still have single file racing with corrupt pools and small prices,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Maybe management will come up with another brilliant move to stop flow like the passing lane did,,,,,,,,,,A double passing lane at hoosier was brilliant and handle proved that,,,,,, Hisa is thought to be a cure and its no help as the wound is deep,,,,,,,
-
with out dope trainers, owners, grooms and friends couldnt taint the pool because they wouldnt be so sure would they?
it would only be CAW. so it would only be half tainted.

jenny i have to disagree and yes drugs are a problem but not as major as corrupt management and with single file racing on tracks with passing lanes and speed bikes with speed favouring tracks there would be zero handle and the pools would still be corrupted,,,,,,,,,,,,,, You seem to be super knowledgeable when it comes to betting and i am sure you lick your chops when you see some of these 3-5 shots these days and the bottom line is most of these horses not only win but leave the screen and make us look stupid........Whe n i bet many hundred to a race becuse of a super poor 1-3 shot i get killed and those should be my bread and butter tracks

when i bet i look for only a few things and dont use a program normally.
i look at the driver. trainer. and the odds board from open til late.
i know what trainers and owners bet early and late. i may look on the usta to see who trained last start and how they fared. but not too often.
if you see a schilacci horse open with money early they will probably climb back up. usually aaron or ronnie drive or even lems does good. ill bet them.
burkes horses are usually always pretty good.
kash jr horses you can see the money come in early at 25-1 ml and maybe you will get 10-1 or i hot a real good one few weeks back.
sam smith horses usually take money when they are good
kreiser horses take early money and late money when they are good.
one of the best ones to bet is kerry merriman(jason thompson) who is from the staulbaum tree. but even his horses you see the money early. and lots of times late.
