Title: Hoosier race 6 3/27/25
Post by: Bitter Truth on March 27, 2025, 08:36:19 PM
First of all, didn't bet the race. Absolute joke. The 2 [Hochstetler trained] clearly jumped before the wire.
Sure appeared the one was lapped on. They left him up. You tell me.

Maybe just lapped on the bike, not the actual horse. Still say he would come down more times than not.

Watched the replay several times and froze the picture at the finish line. If the tail counts, it's lapped on for sure. The #1 horse is almost even with the #2 horse's rear end, which means his hind legs had to be lapped on.

2024 USTA Rule Book
18.10
page 62
"Lapped on hind quarter"
My guess is that tail or hind legs don't count.

I have actually had a face to face conversation with stewards on this on a different episode. 100% lapped on “hind quarter” as the above stated.
