Title: Funtime Bayama - Horrible today AGAIN
Post by: Miguel_Sanchez on April 12, 2025, 12:21:18 PM
Might as well make this thing the new barn pet because he can't function now.  Maybe call Fillion and see if they could at least throw in some lube???

Not sure how you can judge that frankly. He essentially ran an almost identical Qua. as Bythemissal. Is he a pet too?

it was about 35 degrees and the track was very wet

i am not making excuses for the horse-i could care less

but staring at the clock on these qualifiers on cold, wet mornings is complete nonsense

No big deal. It’s not like he was a million dollars.

Three decent qualifiers. Why would anyone get pleasure from heaping scorn on someone else's horse?

I have been a fan of this horse since day one. I thought what happened was horrible. In that last start last year, I was worried the horse wouldn't survive, with no thought of him making it back to the races. I was simply concerned about the horse after he absolutely imploded. As an owner, I wanted to see the buyers seek justice and go after the sellers legally, but that was their choice. The buyers got what they got.

As far his qualifier today, well, don't forget what a third qualifier is for. Like I said last time, I don't think he looked good. In the big picture, week to week, I don't think he looked good. Forget about his gait, stride, getting a hold of the track, soundness, etc.----- I don't think he finished well. I don't think he had a lot in the tank. I don't think he had any real power, pacing forward, wasn't on the bit, in the bridle, etc. It looked to me like Dexter asked him and the horse had little answer so Dexter stopped asking. If he comes back as a top performer-----which is what I'd love to see-----I'd be very, very surprised. I hope I am wrong and the horse just needs more time, needs to race into shape, etc.

Remind me how much money you win for a qualifier

It's not for pleasure but when you have Andrew Harris chirping how incredible he qua last start out and Dexter says this or says that - It's all bullshit.  I don't dislike the horse as he hasn't any say.  I do have issue with Harris and his constant spewing of lies.  This kid has NEVER been able to tell the truth and gossips more than a woman in the laundry matt.

Harris is better at schmoozing people than training horses by far.  He isn’t a top conditioner and would really look terrible without his owners essentially buying top talent instead of developing it.  Even then he is mostly average.
