He shits on his bettors with comments like this-then allows Elite in to  account for half the action...make the handle look good even though it picks the pockets of the wagering public every race

he shits on them, then are unaware of it and they think he is wonderful and  will save the sport

They actually have the nerve to quote Joe Lee telling us that the reason for late odds changes is simply cause pools are small. Not a peep about the rampant CAW play monopolizing their pools after all of us bet. They think gamblers are so stupid. Everyone knows about caw play and late money. Insulting

Case in point. He also says he must have amatuers to card maximum 14 races. If they run 12 races, he loses money. Previously, he told us multiple times how he loses money on every live race night even saying they lose money every time they turn the light on. Now we're supposed to believe he's making money on these races and needs as many as possible. Total contradiction all of a sudden

he postures that he loses a couple of million a year conducting racing only in hopes of a casino

he only cares about a casino-racing keeps him in the  casino game

Obviously this entire hit piece on gamblers was desinged as a chance for him to publicly posture again for a casino. This time they actually chose to use their gamblers as fodder. Just unimaginable

Debbie Little is the perfect person to write the article because like her husband Dave is a big Gural butt kisser.

this is accurate

i feel deep down inside Gural now realizes, after about 10 years-he severely miscalculated NJ politics and his chances of getting a casino

he is now getting up there in years and there is no sign of him getting any casino any time soon

question is--will he keep funding these so called "losses" to keep the dream alive?

Does anyone know how much he gets from the FanDuel Sportsbook?

excellent question

would love to know how much he gets from his piece from FanDuel and how much he actually spends on helping the purses

i am skeptical he adds that much of his own money into the M1 purses

Like the large majority of racing management and owners across both breeds, they view people who bet on their horse product as degenerates and all around nuisance. It permeates through the employees. They hate us. We are just necessary evil to get the casino

As a bettor it's a slap in the face and a huge turn off for me personally.
If you don't like the amateur races, kick rocks. Okay I have multiple other tracks to wager on Fri and Sat evenings.

They have too many amateur races imo.

Its called Capitalism supply & demand....... Debbie is correct don't like it don't bet, simple! (if enough people dont bet or like the product..... it will change or go out of business)

Why do you care? haven't both of you said multiple times you don't wager on the Meadowlands?

If I don't like Outback Steak House or Olive Garden I don't eat there I don't tell them to change their menu......... I'm not fond of Yonkers, so I don't bet. I don't follow every move they make and complain about them; I move on and don't give them a second thought.

It's public information.

please post that information

what FanDuel handles and makes at each site is public knowledge-but what does Gural get?

is that common  knowledge also?

Maybe she didn’t mean it, maybe her sugar was low.   ngc3  She doesn’t have an original thought in her big fat head.  She does what she’s told.  Fuck her and that hypocrite Gural.  Cleaning up the industry and they are all back for the most part.  He’s a fucking idiot if he thinks he’s ever getting a casino.  Atlantic City has more politicians in its pocket than Gural could ever dream of having.  Not happening Jeffie!   Anyone that ever thought he was doing it to save horse racing is as dumb as Dave Little is fat !  tmbz1

You shouldnt bite the hand that feeds you with these kinds of comments. Ooops. I guess the mouth that feeds the Big M are no longer the "common" bettor but ELITE. But these kinds of comments are so uncalled for.

Many years ago when I followed Monti closely and actually made a lot of money there, the following occured on a Sire Stakes Sunday.

In an earlier race, Dave "dead dave" Marshall stiffed a horse from the rail. It was a blatant stiff, he let 3 horses if front of him before th3 1/4 and that is the way they finished.

As they were bring the horses back " during the days of the open paddock" I called dead dave a crooked prick. I was not the only one, but dead dave was just behaving very badly in those days. He was tossed shortly after that race.

So bonehead Matt Romano yells to me " Than don't fucking bet"...Pretty ironic attitude during the days prior to subsidies.

I guess Miss Little and Gural are saying the same thing. I figured they would be a touch smarter the Matty Romano. But when you have ELITE filling your coffers, nothing else rally matters, does it?

Friday night -4/19- was filled with amateur and cheap TM races. If amateur races are so popular, why was the handle so bad?? I think the "fans/computers" have had enough.

Let’s put things in perspective. Race 5 an amateur race did 212k in handle. 2nd highest race of the night. The 3 amateur races at M1 almost handled as much as Chester’s whole 14 race card

That total for race 5 included nearly $50,000 from the pick 5 pool. Take that away, and that race was $160,000.  Pick 5 pools only show up on certain races

Amateur race 1- handle was $102,000
Amateur race 8 -handle was $111,000

No. You made that up about me. Never once said that i don't bet the emadowlands. I bet t-breds too. Not that any of that is your business.
Telling your customers that if you provide feedback, complain whatever you want to call it to stop using your product and go to a competitor is absolutely the worst and stupidest tactic I've ever witnessed.

the same can be said for this thread

if you dont like truths about M1 and/or Gural--then change the channel and post on other topics-ignore these warts and pretend the product is wonderful--that always works

sorry these facts about Gural and M1 upset you--you are obviously one who doesnt even know your pocket is being picked every race.

Ok so take the pick 5 out still handled 3x the best race at Chester and the other 2 double their handle. Obviously someone like to bet amateur races. If you don’t play somewhere else. After 35+ years watching and being involved in the business only degenerates feel the need to bet every race. True handicappers pick their spots. Same goes for any gambling. If you play every hand in poker you going home broke

duh--CAW action could care less about amateur racing or what type of horse is racing

their money goes in after everyone elses, pool analyses is performed then they send it in

they do this to whoever lets them in

I have no issue with anyone not working or owning the meadowlands to tell me to go bet something else. It's insulting and incredibly stupid for the owner to tell me
