Title: Big M Friday
Post by: bello on April 18, 2025, 06:22:34 PM
As I mentioned in other threads. I handicapped these selections. I am not betting until derby day WHEN i BET cd, meadows and tioga
Tonights card looks bettable with the "b" drivers in place.

Derrick Giwner joining Dave Little. Much more tolerable to my ears than Otten. ( I just cant take her voice)

Race 1  #5  Rockabilly Charm...can leave or close. Weak fiels. Joe Lee is ok

dd  55  p5  5/5/47/67/2

Maybe the HOF voters aren't watching. Course he's knocking heads with a real murderer's row of drivers. tmbz1

He is astonishingly mediocre at the Big M. There is also the ELITE factor which is a wildcard that we will never know about until their numbers are released. After the fact so there should be no harn to ELITE. But that will not happen.

Race 10  p4  79/58/4/134    a few in there with the Wunderkind

This is by far the worst night as far as drivers on a card in M1 history.  Really take a look through each race.  David Glasser won an actual race.  Not an MADC race, a real one.  Let that sink in.   ngc3

Lucky he got thru to get 2nd.[6-5 by the way] Nine should have sealed him in.
As a couch driver, I would have vacated pocket when the 9 came calling. ;D

There he got one home. He needed that, fave or not. I'm sure he was starting to sweat it,

Sure looked like he was gonna roll by. I think he thought so too, till he didn't.
Thought he was lucky to get out when he stayed in and horse second over gapped.

Hard to believe how they bet him EVERY race. Didn't look at the program ,
just been watching. Rough night for him and his legion.

It's because these idiots like Dave Little who hype up this kid every week.   They hype this kid up too much!  People just hear the name and go all in on this kid.  IDIOTS!  Like I said...he's a money BURNER.

I enjoy watching him lose races..especially when I don't have him on my ticket!

The hype here on horseplop is even worse and has been non-stop for months comparing him to some of the all-time greats and calling him a future Hall of Famer.

Love the dialogue on the handicapping threads.

My selections are sort of irrelevant. Getting a discussion going is what it is all about. We cannot get the banter at a racetrack near us anymore so this is the next best thing. Even if you want to tell me I suck. Just expect it right back at you!

I am on detox until ky derby. I mention that in most handicapping threads. These selections are for enjoyment only. NOT BETTING. If you bet them you are nuts

Don't usually watch and I WONT be betting them but am so intrigued with this Beckwith thing.
After last two days [ 3 wins on 15 favorites at Plainridge and M[1]] , those lofty expectations
are going to creep in. And yes tonight I suspect he won't get as many live drives with a good
portion of the Big Boys in play tonight. Gonna fit it in with Hoosier and a few Mohawks and
some NBA playoffs just to see it unfold.
