NYS Gaming commission rolled out it's plan for sports wagering in NY. It follows the current law, casinos only. It will be at least 2 years before the law can be modified to include other venues such as OTB's and racetracks.

There is one track with sports betting Tioga
I am not Jerry Clark and I have no affiliation with in front racing

No, they are not. But, they are doing ok. Actually performing better than maybe all others.
My fear is the Legislature will find a way to make on line wagering legal. Great for sports bettors. But, I am convinced it will render all horse racing irrelevant. There is way to many options for action now.

This is sound analysis. Governor clearly wants to make the online option subject to constitutional amendment. This is a messy way to proceed and could take funny turns. Legislature wants the extra $ - it's not as much a windfall as someone earlier noted. But it's easy $ that comes into state coffers other than via tax.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Ny lawmakers have innate ability to f&$# things up (see proposal to give illegals drivers licenses)  let's see what transpires.

Get real!! They don't need us for anything! Sooner or later they're  going to take the money. I wish it wasn't going to happen but politicians are greedy bastards.

Tioga gets sports betting because they are one of the 4 upstate casinos. The only track currently with a full casino.
