I had a horse in a race at Yonkers. Beckwith was driving the favorite and my horse was the second choice. In the stretch Beckwith's horse was in front and was going to win mine was clearly going to finish second when Beckwith stopped driving his horse and yelled to my driver who had conceded the win to "drive that horse." It was too late to start up again and that's how they finished but he clearly wanted to get the favorite beat. That was not the only time that I was told that he yelled at other drivers in a similar fashion.
