They always put racetracks in the nicest part of town, even in the best of times it was a thrill hoping you don’t have a car problem on the way in or out.  Cicero Ave in Illinois not exactly a upscale neighborhood and the same can be said for a track built on a landfill (with all respect to Mr Hoffa if that’s where he is  ;D ;D).

I was there Sunday night.
Heard the noise. Said to the guys next to me, "Gunshots, not fireworks."
It happened behind the track, not inside.
An obvious hit. Somebody didn't pay someone.
3 more "BLD(dont)M assholes.
Ever notice it's the same guys, over and over again?
I'm surprised this hasn't happened more often. The security on the grounds is horrible.
I laugh every time I go through the metal detector, then get wanded by some thug from Paterson or Newark.
They know EXACTLY who they should be looking for, yet I am forced to empty my pockets and consent to a cavity search.
The place became much more of a shithole with the Sportsbook.

This is why I stay home and bet from HOME.   Better food in my Fridge.   Colder beer in my Fridge.  Dont have to deal with the Tolls, Parking & the lowlifes.    No bullets flying

around  my house!!!!

  • Trigger: John Frank's building burnt down 2 1/2 days ago.  He lost everything, but he sounds like he got out ok.  He's staying at a hotel.  Here is the whole story in OT here:  [link]
