Whatever happened to Chicago racing legend Ben Wessels?

Very well liked by everyone. Ben did not tolerate cheating on any level. He kept the crooks out and was well loved by everyone. Does anyone on this blog know where he is at?  Thanks.

didn't he die in that gay bar shooting in Kankakee? I thought Tom Kelley said something happened to him or maybe it was his younger companion? He was bffs with Ira until Ira got $2,000 off him and of course stiffed paying back.
Hope he's OK. With all them HIV drug ads on tv nowadays he'll live to 100 if he's still alive.

Jimmy just said that Ben moved to Springfield Illinois and ira never paid him back. Ben was well loved by Dave Magee and everyone in Chicago. I miss him to this day.
