The Stable can not be stopped. Kings County track record at Scioto last week wins the open there again at fucking 7-1 which is more than he was last week when he wired the same field.
Re Overback that he purchased off of OnGait or Preferred, I forgot) wins at 7-1 at Mohawk.
The guy knows how to pick horseflesh and he is being rewarded for the Tactical Landings and the International Moni's
The thing I am impressed with is the price point of these horses. When is the last time any of the "big" trot trainers brought a horse they (or their owners) paid less than $50k for to these big races? or put another way, what level of return are those trainers getting on their 6-figure (or 7-figure, for that matter) yearlings on the whole? It's refreshing to see decent horses that can fit the budget of the average owner racing well. It's very smart the way the Tactical Landings and International Moni's were bought - good bred horses with new, unproven sires that didn't dominate on the track. It's paying off nicely.
