i just saw a video of 2 yr olds training in jog carts from pinehurst
they had more people there than most tracks get on a saturday night

Always drew a really good crowd. Used to be some great parties.

The matinee is a once a year social occasion........i f it were held monthly or weekly, it would probably attract 25 people.  The number of trainers winter training decreases each  year, also.   The matinee is held on the half mile training track and is limited to two year olds that are not allowed to beat 2:20.
