Gural's segment had little consequence to the way the interview was already heading. Licking the TB deaths directly to the doping when a large segment of TB break downs are weak and too refined skeletal structures, does not apply here. If in fact you look at European TB's they have much heavier bone structures. race longer and carry more weight.  The American TB's are weakly put together as a whole.  Although...I am not discounting the fact that nerve blockers and pain relievers Do attribute to some break downs where an issue is already present. The FACTS still remain Navarro, Servis Surick, Oaks, and the related Vets and other contingencies are the very scum that push the animals beyond their limits for one reason and one reason only, $$$! And that is the very reason people like this should have NO involvement in what was once considered the sport of Kings.

“You would see horses that were going a certain speed, and then the new trainer would take over, and the next week the horse would be two seconds faster… It's impossible,” says racetrack operator Jeff Gural!

Right on the money!

All true unless the new owners ship into Pocono Downs where everyone goes faster even if they race backwards.

But there can still be three less tracks that simply become 3 casinos without race tracks.  Whats your point?
