Energize the sport w/ decent promotions:
Ladies Nite (could be tricky w/ plenty of men identifying)
$1 Beer Nite
Wrestle a Bear nite
Wet T-shirt Nite (Women only)
Second Chance on site losing tickets
Senior Citizen Mud Rasslin'
Some of those promos were tried before.. Tioga tried the 1 dollar beer thing for a while, flop.
Harness racing by itself does not appeal to most women, the only time I saw a fair amount of women at a track was when Monticello had the Miss Monticello contest.
John Manzi the former publicity director at Monti must have invented every wacky stunt contest known to man to increase attendance, all for naught.
Decades ago YR tried some contests but that didn't turn out well either. I remember one contest was like a raffle and then if you got picked you could call out as many 2 dollar bet as you could in one minute free.
