My friend out East says there’s nothing in any paper or even talk among horse people that anything negative is happening at Freehold .

thats because nothing is affected

This classic track still has lots to like so for anyone hating on the place you should rethink why. Great suburban safe location with a nice restaurant open each racing day that has good food and staff. The grandstand is old but is spacious with plenty of seating and a great view of the oval.
Parking is close and free. Great outdoor apron along with concessions for beer and stadium type food and drink. Good announcers.
Monti is an absolute mess and offers nothing even close to places like Freehold who I think does their best to operate the place on what I would assume is a very limited budget.
Oldie but goodie in my view.

Will be better when retail Sportsbook leaves. Back to just a core group of nice folks enjoying respectable daytime harness racing.

It will go back to seeing the same low life, POS there every fucking day and night.  The sickest guy there is a dirtbag named Kevin who walks around picking up tickets in garbage cans, the floor, etc. and tries to find a winner after he loses his paycheck week after week.  The management takes a blind eye to his practice since they are desperate for bodies and ignore the fact that he jams the machines and then walks away fast.  A complete POS which Freehold management welcomes.

Don’t be an idiot that has been going on for years. At least it ain’t a poor teller running all the worthless tickets while looking at an actual better in line that might get shut out

What the hell is going on out there ?? Sounds like a bunch of degenerates and a broke Sportsbook. What’s to like ? A teller who was involved in a scam ?  Sounds like a wonderful place

The sportsbook started out banning anyone and everyone who cashed a few tickets. They thought everone making winning bets were pros. Great business plan. Entire place also smells of urine

How can shit like this go on at a Sportsbook / racetrack ? Obviously run by the inmate’s situation. Freehold sounds absolutely dreadful

I was there in the fall and had a great time there. Easy parking accross the street. Staff folks wearing "Parc" shirts and ID's were very nice. The Sports book was pretty crowded, and there were a couple of dozen on the track apron studying their programs. My wife and I sat in the restaurant and did some people watching. I'm saddened to hear the the Sports book is leaving. It will have a definite effect on the horse betting there. I noticed that the same folks that were betting way to much money on college basketball were throwing a few bucks on the races. The races were still exciting and a great view. Even from the rail. I hope Freehold survives. It would be a shame if it closed.
