Austrailia NEW ZEALAND
« on: September 01, 2024, 10:28:26 PM »
These two countries have produced the best horsemen in th game today plus my favorite person ever on this planet being JACINDA ARDERN BUT LETS TALK HORSES and people like NOEL DALEY and CHRIS RYDER PLUS DRIVERS LIKE DEX AND ANDREW add class to this sport that it is in total need of,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, In my lifetime i do not see a better operation than the CHRIS RYDER operation as he operates a business that is first class and looks to make profit for his owners ,,,,,,,All these people i mentioned give first class interviews without BS AND SEEM TO PUT A honest effort into winning races,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Now do any of you that watch races from these two places you see 5 in and 5 out racing with no holes given up and exciting racing where you need to learn how to be patient when going parked the mile and its all about timing,,,,,,,,,NOW HERE IS MY IMPORTANT QUESTION,,,,,,UNLIKE NORTH AMERICAN racing where its 10 in and no one out and to many dead spots on many track why are horses able to run tough parked out miles and what does their race surfaces have so different that they can do this and truth is i really do not know but a blind man can see it is the way to go,,,,,,,,,,,

It's partially because most raced are longer than a mile and they don't go all out with super fast first quarters like here unless the race is at Menangle for only a mile.  They are trained to take air and not to exert themselves at high speed for a long distance for fear of bleeding.  If they bleed they are done and must come here if they still want to race.  That's my opinion but ask Timbo as he lived it.

What I want from over there is fixed betting odds. Fuck parimutuels.  It's not the 70s anymore with great pools and only limited exotics.

Great post thorn as fixed odds are the only way out but the one problem is that they are cutting off winning players in England now that bookmaking shops have slots that they call pokkies and once again slots have killed horse punters,,,,,,,,,,,,, plus one other thing is when i watch mile races it is still 5 or more in and 5 or more out...........
