There was decent racing & a decent crowd there to take it all in. It was strange coming in and the roads were paved , shrubs everywhere for the new development going on.

At the track, lots of youngsters there, decent promotions, giveaways every race, $500 winner etc. Only bad comment really was the lack of ticket sellers, lots of folks got shut out, SAMS are easily the most archaic i ever utilized. How about mike Sweeney announcing the travers once a live race got over!!! Some guy outside was fist pumping as he won but Sweeney apologized on the mic announcing the wrong horses in the Travers

great thing about the sam machines. years ago i handed the gm/mutuel manager a list of whats not working on each machine. today the same things are wrong with the same machines in the same place. one machine dissapeared. they dont even bother to have the tote company fix what they know is wrong with them. totes contract even states its there responsibility to fix them, unless tote hasnt been paid too.
