La Coer Chapeau
« on: August 24, 2020, 03:49:10 PM »
A horse who has the ability to be one of the fastest 2 year old fillies in the country is getting no help from her drivers in providing her confidence to maximize her ability. She's been asked to spring from the gate to the half in her second and third starts at full speed, leaving nothing for the second half except to learn it's easier to be passed than to fight them off.
I thought she was getting a smart and conservative drive today at Saratoga as she rode the rail with horses behind her and in front of her. Babies love to follow. The driver pulls her in the backstretch where two year olds equate this is to their pull up spot when they train. It was just another negative start for her. That's three or four in her first four starts.

Lay off the crack pipe, your brain is turning into mush. 12-1 out of the 2 hole in a Excelsior B . She wouldn't be the fastest 2 year old pulling a amish wagon.
