The Increasing "Popularity" of the Jackpot Wager
« on: December 02, 2020, 11:57:35 AM »
Whoever thinks these jackpot bets increase interest in gambling on harness racing...maybe they're right...on the days when these bets are Mandatory Payouts...persona lly, I have no interest in playing into these pools on a daily basis when, if you hit it with multiple winners, you don't get paid what you should...it's called ridiculous "effective takeout rate" !!

agree totally. whats worse is when the put the jackpot on hold so a certain day will be huge. i never see them canceling the daily double until closing day so why the jackpot.   non jackpot pick 6 i will throw money into but not the jackpot unless like you said manditory payoff.

Until mandatory, it is simply a tax on the stupid.

New York has now authorized these fraud bets.
And 5 horse triple fields now legit.

The state is helping the tracks destroy the business.

calfixpo has a jackpot pic6 they have no intention of ever paying out. The state needed the money so they took it from them and told them to just keep the bet going and make people think there's always more than one ticket. big scam by the tracks and states.
