Ugly 5th race at GULFSTREAM Feb 11th 2021
« on: February 12, 2021, 05:56:16 PM »

On  Thursday February 11th, in a important race to both the early pick 5 and 1st
leg of the Rainbow 6 was the 5th race. The results and immediate aftermath lead me to have some suspicions about the integrity of this event.

It was won by an un contested winner #2, who was not picked  in the top 4 by either of the  handicappers, who are generally on the mark. Despite this the horse went off as the pari-mutuel favorite.

While I am accustomed to losing wagers, I find what happened after the wire a bit troubling…the jockeys of the first two horses fist- pumping…..on a mid level claiming race that had UGLY written all over it.

The horse who won runs big races when he gets the lead and he got the lead and won. Nothing to see here Columbo.

Nothing surprises me anymore but the fact it was Gafflione who won and Irad finishing 2nd and fist pumping certainly is flagrantly pushing it in every handicappers face. Florida has no commission and no drug testing so anything goes.

I no longer play GP because these cheats pull this garbage daily  11.wp
That said, I do like Tyler at Churchill...

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.

  • Trigger: I thought BT & I had a real good shot w/ a 110 4/5, wide but nice momentum, and then a sharp left turn mid stretch ended that  ngc3
