Nice read, 'Duke. No conversation on how mobile sports wagering will impact horse racing and brick and mortar casinos. If history of wagering outside of the host, (OTB,ADW...) tells us anything, There will be greater gross sales but, slimmer margins. As well as cannibalizing racings markets.
Bottom line, none of this is good news for horse racing.

Pathetic that a casino in Schenectady should have to pay slot welfare to horsemen in Saratoga some 30 miles away. Complete joke that this "sport" is 100 % dependent on handouts from others. The time has come to decouple all of these half milers in NY and that would pave the way for The Meadowlands to race 6 days a week and do 5 million plus in handle night after night. End this charade of free money already.

That won't ever happen. The Meadowlands already have enough horses and won't expand to 3 days a week.

Correct, it’s not for lack of horses, it’s for lack of bettors

The deal between Rivers Casino and Saratoga Raceway was brokered with the state long before Rivers Casino was ever built. All parties involved agreed to the percentages, which allowed Rivers to be built and siphon off a percentage of gamblers from Saratoga. Lets all not be too stupid how these deals are made, it's all about greasing Governor Cuomo's palm.

The owner of the harness track (and casino) has provided the State well over $1B, dip shit. Google it.

And also maybe educate yourself your dumb ass on WTF you post on....just a thought, but probably too complicated for you.

Sfdecoy the horses do nothing for the state. Zip, Zero. Whether its right or wrong there is a time the States will use the money for something else.
