Came inside to cool off and decided to watch Pocono while taking a break.
Watched 9th and 10th race.
In the 9th Mike Simons on the 4 at 20-1 morningline not picked opens up at 4/5.
As they are going to the gate he drops to 3/5 the would be favorite was 7/2.
Gate opens Simons goes up to 5-1 and favorite drops to 3/2.
If somebody really like Simons then the odds changes here are not drastic.
So the 10th board opens up and this time Simons is on the 7 at 20-1 but opens at 5/2.
Both Simons horses looked weak on paper neither one picked anywhere by anybody.
So Simons in the 10th stays steady around 5/2 as they go to the gate.
I'm thinking somebody in the barn either doesn't like money or they have inside info.
Gate opens Simons lags gate beats one horse and went off at
90-1!Yes that number is correct went from 5/2 to 90-1.
Even with small pools that huge change doesn't reflect just new late money in the pool.
Somebody clearly canceled their bets and it was done last second.
If this was an isolated case Racing Boards could just ignore it.
But this clowning shit happens all the time especially at harness tracks.
Horse racing needs to go back to the when you make the bet you own the tickets days.
No cancellations. No tote board manipulations. No excuses.
