Where are the poll horses this week?
« on: August 23, 2023, 01:03:04 PM »
There is a new number one this week, as the previous monarch went off stride and subsequently falls to number two. so, where are they?
1. Confederate: idle
2. Sylvia hanover: idle
3. It’s my show: finished second at the red mile yesterday to cannibal in 1:48.4, referenced in another horseplop thread. Will be idle as of now.
4. It’s academic: qualifier 8/24 at the meadowlands
5. Tactical approach: Kentucky sire stakes leg at the red mile on 8/27
6. Silver label: idle
7. Jiggy jog S: Idle
8. MM’s dream: qualifier at the meadowlands 8/24
9. Bythemissal: Canadian pacing derby elimination at woodbine Mohawk 8/26
10. Grace hill: fillies and mares open at scioto downs 8/25

EDIT: the horse who had the most points who didn’t make the poll, twin B joe fresh, is in at tioga in an empire breeders classic leg Sunday, per Arnold Wilkin on FB

I think Confederate is definitely #1, but I thought he should've been before that.

  • Sweet: The fact of the matter is the win pool on Beau Jangles was I believe a negative pool,  his real odds not 1/9 but 1/99.  Enough already, we're the real patrons of thius F'ing sport, many of us also care for these animals despite the best don't want drugs and whipping, abuse.  Competition yes!

  • Lockedin with Pace: Robust Hanover was a very small horse driven by William O'Donnell. In fact the late Stan Bergstein used to refer to him as the "little peanut".
