Okay for each horse that races and makes the final, they are racing for $200K in one elimination and $600K in the final. That totals $800K which is double the race in Lexington.
I agree it is good that Its My Show is going to the Jug. What I saw was awhile ago. If you are correct, it is not good for harness racing for the best horse to be racing in different races week after week.
To show the world you have a really exceptional, versatile horse and not one that went in hand picked , set up races. Good thing there is not a straight mile track with a $7;000 purse or the horse would be there.
Little trivia : who was the last horse to win the jug that can be considered a top sire ?
