And you thought this 14yr old winner yesterday had passed
« on: October 15, 2023, 01:01:29 PM »
Any of you midwesterners remember
BET ON ART?

This 14 yr old, bred at Genesis in  Indiana
Royal Art- Betican BB- The Ponderosa had lifetime mark at Northfield as 6 yr old 1.54.3.

387 starts, $207,000 and a 53rd career win yesterday afternoon paying 22.20...outside post 6 circled on final turn to get up for the victory at Northside Downs, Sydney Nova Scotia in a n/w 600/L5 for a purse of $1125 canadian.

It isnt the age, track or purse.. Im guessing its the instinct, bit of kindness and 'a hint' of good meds.

BET ON ART..still hanging in there.

  • Sweet: Please Lord, give PurpleSheetPicks FIXED ODDS at every track and every ADW he could wager with, he'll prove he's right.  Racing will be saved, a tsunami of gamblers will show back up, drugs, cheating, animal abuse will stop, real regulatory and enforcement will engage.  There'll be world peace, and he'll stop whining and crying!  Amen!  ;D

  • Sweet: The fact of the matter is the win pool on Beau Jangles was I believe a negative pool,  his real odds not 1/9 but 1/99.  Enough already, we're the real patrons of thius F'ing sport, many of us also care for these animals despite the best don't want drugs and whipping, abuse.  Competition yes!

  • Lockedin with Pace: Robust Hanover was a very small horse driven by William O'Donnell. In fact the late Stan Bergstein used to refer to him as the "little peanut".
