What Pelling Wasn't Suppose To Be Near Horses For Awhile ?
« on: December 09, 2023, 06:22:30 PM »
I see a Jack Pelling driving at Freehold today. What Pelling recently whipped a horse real bad after a race and drove it into the wall in the barn area. If it is the same one, why is he back near horses so quickly?

Sadly he was allowed to appeal

Terrible but I guess that is what the rule book says.  You would think in cases like this there would be temporary restraining orders like in domestic courts where he would have to stay away from animals if there was probable cause that he attempted or injured a horse until his appeal is heard. At least we protect humans.

Ironically, the horse he drove into the wall on purpose, was sold by the owner a week ago and the new trainer won with it today at Freehold 2nd race.  He's on appeal and who knows how long that wll last. I say instead of the suspension, just drive him into the wall and if he can just walk away, fine. If not, a taste fo what the poor horse felt.

Appeal is just a step in the process for the average druggy trainer. Its like repeat offenders on the streets. They use the system.

Most of the appeals would stop if the fine and days were tripled if they go to court and lose.
AND. POST every week the list of those who have a penalty under appeal.  They have to keep the crooks in the news.
Put an * in the program behind  the trainers who are racing under appeal..
