Burke Brigade
« on: August 26, 2024, 09:39:54 PM »
Big day for them tomorrow.. not only is TCI qualifying at the meadows tomorrow, which was mentioned in a different thread, Bythemissal who only has 2 starts this year and Swingtown who hasn't raced since August 2nd is as well. Chris Page is listed to drive all 3. I'm glad he's feeling better after that accident at Scioto.

Update all 3 won.. Swingtown 154.1 sat 3rd the whole mile and closed well..TCI 154.3 sat 2nd the whole mile and won.. Bythemissal 151.3 pretty much gait to wire and won by 14 lengths. I don't care much about TCI as others have said he has been passed by this year. Swingtown looked like a monster early this year, his next start will be interesting. Lastly I hope Bythemissal returns to past form.. it would be nice to inject some fresh blood into the older open division which has been a little lackluster this year.

Good update/comments. My only thought is about TCI. Watching him he appears to have pretty much "one speed" and does not possess that extra gear that most great horses have.

UPDATE..  Just read an article that Bythemissal will race on 9-7 at Scioto in the Jim Ewart memorial.. TCI will race on 9- 9 at Pocono in the PASS finals and that Swingtown is being pointed to the Metro at Mohawk on 9-14 and 9-21.
