Maine and the heat.
« on: July 01, 2025, 10:36:09 PM »
Ten years ago, we had only 1 day over 90 degrees. Now our summers are getting hotter and hotter each year. It's about 1030PM and 76 degrees. Unheard of. So we are now experiencing the first rolling "brown outs" from our power company. Autumn couldn't come fast enough.

Be thankful you left Florida!  Now people can use their swimming pools up north for a change!

FYI, even worse down here in Florida!  20 years ago, you could race the summers at Pompano Park (RIP) and it was hot, but bearable.  Now, forget about it!

Kayne Kauffman suffered a fractured heel. Aaron Merriman suffered five broken ribs, a shattered scapula, and a partially collapsed lung. He is being kept in the hospital for further observation. We will update the status of the drivers' conditions as we know more. We wish everyone involved a speedy recovery.
