He's been around forever and is a harness historian, but most people aren't interested in what sire won the Kentucky Futurity 40 years ago.

I was at The Red Mile today, and could not really hear any of the interviews. Either the sound system really sucked or just did nit reach where I was hanging out.

Temporary tote beard was also pretty poor. I had use my phone to get info.

Like many who are Meadowlands based, I know Bob forever. While he's more knowledgeable than most people give him credit for, he's been pigeon-holed and handcuffed into a role of historian, statistician, obscure facts, etc. He's always wanted to be that handicapper, play-by-play, commentator type. When he's tried to expand his role and scope, he is usually overshadowed by others he was working with. Tough spot. He's had a good, long career, HOF worthy, and will probably always be able to add something to the offering.

Some people will like him while others won't. Like with anybody, LOL.

Agreed, overall i like him and his interviews are ok
just needs to find the right role
surely he could add some handicapping insights at some track on a regular basis, god knows most of them need it
