Had his trip pegged...forced to take a seat in 3rd. Was able to sit till heading to 3/4. Never seriously
threatened Chase H, who was waiting on him.  Just not the horse he once was. Held for 4th. Hope
I'm wrong and he bounces back strong. Will probably make some good $ in this series but don't see him as a threat to win it.

Not the same horse he was 2 years ago, and unless he draws well in a softer division, will be hard pressed to make the finals.

Never was really that good. Had a couple of flashes of potential stardom but never lived up to it.

Ron Cushing is back driving him in the 2nd leg next Monday. He's got the 2 hole in the 9th race in a field of 2 winners from last week.

Don't need a program to predict that he'll leave all he can, find the rail then suck
along and ride the duration. Build up points, plus he don't like the wind like he used to.

The rail horse Verdun who won last week from far back is not fast out of the gate, so I think Cushing goes down the road like he did at Pocono because there's not alot of speed in the race.

If he does, he'll need life insurance in the stretch with that Verdun and that Mossdale horse
from down under who is really coming on. He's probably quick enough to get around the one
but they'll be at least one and I'll predict two get around him out of the gate, especially
with Cushing on him.

???????????????? Are you talking about Charlie?????  The horse has made over $2million.  What would you classify as a top caliber horse?

Would have 2.6 if not DQ in Meadowlands pace.  We all should be as lucky as Tiger who bred this horses from nothing.

ZERO CHANCE Cushing gets over Verdun. ZERO

ZERO CHANCE? You sound pretty sure of yourself, are you Pat Lachance? I'd be surprised if he wasn't able to, I know he's going to try, but giving it ZERO chance of happening means you think Verdun is going to park the field, which would be a big change in tactics for such an unaggressive driver.

Patrick can be aggressive as anyone, especially from the rail. At Yonkers, pace battles are rare and a high percentage of the time there is a hole for those who abort leave attempts. Plus there are quite a few horses with no speed in the race. Janelle Granny, Racing Rampage, Mossdale Ben N, etc.

Verdun has back races where he has left like a jet. (Go back and watch his replays after Lachance claimed him) This is a former claimer who has been a different horse since being claimed from Travis Alexander where he was previously owned by the Davis family of DE. They have to be sick to see the improvement in the horse.

I expect Bongiorno's horse, Typhoon Banner N, to leave the gate, though he has not been good. But he can leave really fast. Aardies Flash will try to leave with Bartlett from the far outside. But Charlie May getting over Verdun, I can't see it happening.

I do Verdun from Dover, he was locally owned by the Mulligan and Calcutta stables, and trained by Jason Johnson, Allan Davis was his regular driver. I do expect Bongiorno's horse to try leaving, but if Verdun bangs the rail and Cushing also tries to leave, he'll be forced to take back.
