here is another example that may make it clearer

you are running a forum provided to you for free by another enterpise provided you follow their guidelines.
you use that forum to bash real people in the world.you post slanderous comments about them on that forum repeatedly.harras sing them photoshopping vile pics and threatening them and their places of business with violence.
someone contacts the enterprise who provided the free forum with that info.what do you think they will do ? will they contact the offender and tell them to remove the posts or will they risk damages to their reputation and loss of revenues ?
